‘Thunder 1’ attended every day of the festival, flying clients in and out across Champion Day, Ladies Day, and through to Gold Cup Friday. For guests, it meant bypassing the roads entirely and arriving at one of the most celebrated events in the British sporting calendar in the time it should take.
The aircraft drew attention in its own right. The AW109 Trekker is a striking machine, and as the first of our new all-twin-engine fleet, Thunder 1 represented something of a statement of intent for where Thunder Aviation is heading.
The response from clients was exactly what we had hoped for, and the momentum has carried straight through into Q1 and Q2 of 2026. Demand has been strong and consistent, and we have had the pleasure of introducing a number of new clients to our fleet for the first time off the back of the festival.
Cheltenham 2026 was the right moment, with the right aircraft. We are already looking forward to returning next year.
